Rationale

I have chosen to digitalize my games binder because it will be much easier in the future to simply carry games on a laptop rather than always carrying huge binders when making lesson plans. Not only will it be easier to carry, but it is a bonus to be able to this at a job application. The school could simply type in the address into their computers and be able to check my entire compilation of games. Having my games binder on a computer appears more organized and is easy to look through for not only myself, but other individuals. Having games already on a computer helps when creating lesson plans for classes, it will be easier to look through when looking for games to chose for a specific class. For example, if an L.E.S. I am working on with my students is Baseball, I would simply go into my striking and fielding category and have them listen in front of me right away. Teaching games for understanding is the new way to teach new skills to students. In the past there has been many debates about the way students were being taught with drills. Issues about not being fair to all children, because not everyone is good a physical education, was brought up many times. Today games that are fun, yet instructional are used in physical education classrooms. Drills have not completely disappeared from physical education lesson plans, but classes now include more games. This binder is a useful tool because it contains games that can be used in my classroom. These categories include all times of games that can be played with my students.
