Description:

Layer 1:

·         Place cones following each other in a line separate the class into groups of two. Place on student the far cone and on the other cone, place a ball on top of the middle cone. The first student begins to walk up to the middle cone as, he or she has to walk around it as soon as she is facing her cone she has to run back to it. The other player has to wait until the player starts to circle around the cone, once the person has circled it he or she can run and get the ball, the student then must throw the ball at the other person’s cone before they get to it. (A point is awarded each time a student either gets to the cone before it is hit or to the student who hits the cone). Players change after each throw.

Modifications:

--Change the distance between the pylons

--Instead of having the player throw the ball at the cone, make the player tag the other with the ball

Safety:

Review tagging rules; make sure students are not shoving when they tag others and that there is appropriate touching.
