Tactics: Wait for a distraction to attack other players. Keep your feet together so ball doesn’t go through legs.

Description:

Layer 1:

  • Can practice rolling balls at targets across a playing area.
Layer 2:

  • In the first place, every student takes a hoop and a pin. In second place, players scatter across the playing area, put their hoop (prairie dog hole) on the ground and their pin, the prairie dog, standing in the middle of the hoop. Balls are given to the players; they are used to knock down other students’ prairie dog. Students aren’t aloud moving with the ball in their hands, only pivot.
Layer 3:

  • As soon as someone gets their prairie dog knocked over, they go join the student with their hoop and prairie dog. This will create teams. By communicating and teamwork, players can then defend and other can go out within the field to knock down other prairie dogs.
Modifications:

--Allow a certain time limit with the ball.

--Allow steps with the ball.

Safety:

Students should always keep their heads up and make

sure that they throw towards the ground.
